Group of Albanian fans provoke by raising banner accusing Greece of genocide

UEFA forbids political protests in matches

A group of Albanian fans hung a misspelt banner from the stands of the stadium during the match between Albania and Switzerland at the Euro2016 France that read ‘Greece is guilty. Remember the genocid (genocide) in Cameria 100,000 Albanian victims’. The new incident comes after a series of provocations by the official Albanian government on the non-existent matter of the ‘Chams’. Recently a group of fanatic Albanians calling themselves ‘Chams’ came face to face with Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias during his trip to Tirana, the capital of Albania. The governing body of football in Europe, UEFA, forbids the expression of political views, racism or incitement to hate and discrimination during football matches.
