Help a mugged British cancer survivor get his Greek dream holiday

The pensioner’s savings, carefully gathered for a trip to Greece, were stolen!

British pensioner John Jukes, aged 70, had been saving money for a trip to Greece following weeks of physically and psychologically draining chemotherapy treatment. His chance for the trip disappeared after he was attacked and robbed in broad daylight in Cheltenham.

His face suffered damage and his spectacles were snapped.  Worst of all, he and his wife Evie, aged 58, missed out on the opportunity to relax in Santorini and Mykonos as had been the plan.

Police have issued CCTV footage of the man they want to speak to in connection with the attack. Meanwhile an appeal has been started by the Gloucestor Echo to give the man his holiday!

To donate, please send cheques payable to John Jukes and send them to the Echo’s offices here in St James Square, Cheltenham, GL50 3PR.
