It will be received with head of state honours
The aircraft carrying the Holy Fire is expected to land at the Athens airport around 18.30 on Saturday evening and it will be received with head of state honours.
The Holy Fire will be then transferred to various regions of the country on special flights.
The delegation is headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Akis Gerontopoulos. The Holy Fire ceremony took place earlier on Saturday at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem.
