Honey Festival in Thessaloniki

The 7th Honey Festival takes place from October 10-12 and will feature a number of interactive demonstrations, workshops, byproducts of honey and of course delicious food!

Three sweet days of honey are in store at the 7th Honey Festival that kicks off at Pedio tou Areos Park in Thessaloniki on Friday, October 10. Visitors will be able to see hives of honey with bees at work creating precious honey and will learn all about the benefits of royal jelly. Best of all, there will be 10,000 honey donuts, 100 kilos of Greek yogurt that will be topped with honey and more.

Visitors will also be able to take part in beekeeping, take part in demonstrations and workshops all to do with honey. Highlights include a cooking class at 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, music by the group Muses of Greece on Sunday, October 12.

The event is being organized by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Thessaloniki Beekeeping Association and the 5th Community of the Municipality of Thessaloniki.

Admission is free and everyone is welcome from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. from October 10-12.
