Iberia airlines announced the creation of a website through which tickets will be auctioned off to potential passengers. The website is subastas.iberia.com, and includes the starting price of a ticket to a specific destination, where passengers can bid. The auction winners will receive the coveted tickets.

The company had implemented the project in July 2013, but in reverse. Tickets began at high prices and said prices went down according to passenger demand. The system had failed the airline, however, since demand was extremely high, and Iberia was criticized in social media.
