IMF Director Lagarde: No deal soon with Greece

Refugee crisis concerns all countries

IMF Director Christine Lagarde promptly dispelled any hopes the Greek government might have had of reaching a deal with its lenders anytime soon without the adoption of new measures, in a press conference, Saturday in Washington. Lagarde said that tyne talks are ongoing and that a lot needs to be done, adding that the measures adopted must be viable. She made it clear that the IMF representatives would return to Athens next week to continue talks. The head of IMF expressed her dissatisfaction over the verbal attacks against the Fund’s members by the Greek PM Alexis Tsipras and government officials. On the refugees crisis Mrs. Lagarde said it was an issue that warranted am common approach by all countries and that it did not concern just one country.
