Iran: Islamic fanatics attacked women with acid because they were not wearing niqab

By taking the law into their own hands the Islamic fanatics “punish” women who do not comply with the strict dress code of Islam

In accordance with law, women must dress modestly and have their hair covered with a traditional hijab or niqab.

Fanatical Islamists lie in wait for those women that do not comply and  take the law into their own hands and attack them with acid.

During last week four attacks with acid have occurred, while BBC spoke of a possible eleven.

Although police has not as yet made any official statements of the four men arrested, social media users in Iran report that the cause of the attacks was the womens inappropriate appearance which deviated from the strict dress code of Islam.

If the arrested get convicted, the most possible scenario is that they will face death penalty.

All women attacked with acid, bear extensive burns, other damage and disfiguration.
