The high school students have already sent a letter to the Israeli government, to express their refusal to serve their country. The government’s reactionw as immediate. It clarified that they are in danger of finding themselves behind bars, if they do not join the army, as reported by the british Telegraph newspaper. Recently, Israeli military leadership admitted that the numer of men and women who refuse mandatory service has increased. Based on official estimates, 25% of men and 43% of women refused to serve their mandatory service.
