Foreign scantily-clad women working as coffee vendors in Nicosia offered passers-by refreshing frappe wearing nothing more than hot shorts and tank tops. Cyprus citizens reacted to the indecent appearance of the vendors inundating regional roads and causing traffic problems.

Police, responding to the complaints of mainly female drivers, investigated the women to ensure that they had the appropriate papers to be street vendors as well as their residence permits. The women were found to be legal, despite inappropriate attire and coffee-selling is continuing as usual… despite traffic jams.
