Gross hourly teaching rate ranging from € 15.51 to € 19.09 / Ten month fixed term contract (September 2015 to June 2016)

British Council Athens is looking for qualified and experienced Teachers of English to Young Learners and Early Years Teachers of English who are living in the Athens area to join our team.This role is part time on Saturday mornings and weekday evenings. You must have an undergraduate degree or higher and a certificate level qualification (normally CELTA or Trinity Cert TESOL) and at least two years’ post-certificate teaching experience.

You will be highly competent user of English (IELTS band 7+) and will deliver high quality lessons to British Council standards.

We are committed to continuing Professional Development and there are various opportunities for teachers to participate in training as well develop new skills.

Short-listing is carried out against knowledge, qualifications and experience as specified in the person specification section of the Role Profiles below. We may also shortlist against desirable competencies if we get a large pool of applications. Interviewing is carried out against the essential teaching skills and the core behavioural competencies.
