Konstantopoulou, hubby enjoy beach time before Parliament … squall

Parliament’s anti-memorandum ‘iron lady’ softens under the Grecian sun, Aegean waters

The looming split in ruling SYRIZA party over a third bailout plan for Greece was also exacerbated by the outright rebellion of brash Parliament president Zoe Konstantopoulou, yet days before Parliament was abruptly reopened to pass the agreement — in the face of Konstantopoulou’s determined opposition — the latter enjoyed the Grecian sun, sand and surf with her husband in northern Evia.

The pictures were reportedly taken on Saturday, Aug. 8.
A pair of vacationers in the resort town of Gialtra snapped up the scenes of Konstantopoulou and her merchant marine officer husband, Apostolos Mantas, relaxing on the beach. The couple later traveled to nearby Alonissos island before returning to the town of Edipsos (Aidipsos), where both newlyweds spent much of their summers.zoe_summer2
