LAOS leader in ICU after angioplasty

Giorgos Karatzaferis underwent an angioplasty and stent procedure to open a blocked blood vessel.

Leader of the Popular Orthodox Party (LAOS) Giorgos Karatzaferis underwent an angioplasty and stent procedure to open a blocked blood vessel.

Mr. Karatzaferis was rushed to the hospital late on Saturday because he was experiencing chest pains.

The surgery was successful and LAOS leader remains in the ICU for precautionary reasons.

It should be noted that Mr. Karatzaferis was scheduled to travel on Sunday to Cyprus, to attend the events for the 40th anniversary of the Turkish invasion.
