A venue that recently made it onto the World’s 10 Best Bars list, the Athens Hilton’s penthouse Galaxy Bar will host the latest InterNations event on Wednesday for expatriate members and guests.

Billed as a “live dance party”, the event will also feature a live band performance in a venue that offers almost panoramic  views of central Athens, including a stunning Acropolis vista (from the north east).

Internations is a for-profit online community geared towards top expat professionals and “global minds”, boasting more than 1.4 million members worldwide. Its primary mission is to help expatriates accustom themselves to life abroad, serve as a cyber and real-life venue for internationals to meet, exchange trust-based information and insider-tips on expat-relevant topics.

More than 400 Internations events take place every month around the world.

In Athens, there are currently more than 6,800 members from 130 countries, including diplomats, NGOs IGO staff members, foreign press correspondents and others.

The Galaxy Bar at Hilton Athens was named one of the top 10 rooftop bars in the world by Premier Traveler magazine recently.
