Latest poll shows Greeks disappointed by SYRIZA government

ND leads by 10 points

Opposition part New Democracy (ND) leads ruling SYRIZA party by 10 percentage points in a polls conducted by the University of Macedonia for Skai TV. 27.5% of those polled were estimated to vote for ND compared to 17.5% who were estimated to chose SYRIZA if elections were held. Leader of ND Kyriakos Mitsotakis was the most popular politician with a 27% approval rating, while 81% of the respondents said the conditions in Greece were deteriorating, compared to 9% who believed things were getting better. 85.5% replied they were dissatisfied with the performance of the government so far, with 72.5% of SYRIZA voters saying they were disgruntled with the their party. On the issue of the TV licences, 64% were suspicious about the governments motives behind the whole procedure, saying they were politically motivated. 66% expressed their disagreement on the government’s management on the refugee crisis. Extreme right Golden Dawn (GD) came in third with 7.5%, followed by Democratic Alignment and KKE with 5.5%, while the Centrists’ Union got 3.5%. Junior coalition partner ANEL received 2% and The River party 1.5%.
