Legend of lost Nazi train in Poland proves true

Question now is whether it still contains looted treasures

Polish officials have reportedly confirmed that a Nazi military train, which purportedly carried treasure looted from death camp victims, has indeed been found near the town of Walbrzych.

A pair of anonymous treasure hunters approached officials in the town last week via a lawyer to claim they had found the legendary Nazi treasure train.

Whether it’s full of gold remains to be seen.

The legend of a Nazi treasure train swirled in Walbrzych for years. A tour guide at a local castle told NBC News that the Germans had dug numerous secret tunnels in the area during WWII as part of a project to turn that castle into a hotel for high-ranking Nazis.

It’s unproven but plausible that these tunnels were used as a impromptu train-hiding spot.
