Li Keqiang: “We will make Piraeus the first port in the Mediterranean”

The Chinese Prime Minister expressed interest in airport, rail, road and other infrastructure development

The Prime Minister of China Li Keqiang will visit Athens on Thursday for three days during which both countries are expected to reaffirm their commitment to enhance their trade ties.

Mr Li Keqiang will be accompanied by a 14-member government delegation.

“We will work with Greece to make the port the best of its kind in the Mediterranean” the Chinese Prime minister reports to a letter sent to “Kathimerini.

The Chinese Prime Minister expressed interest in airport, rail, road and other infrastructure development and he welcomed the benefits of tourism in Greece and described it as “an important growth area for China-Greece cooperation”.
