Locals shocked by strip club ads showing nude woman as “best view in Croydon”

Is this ad degrading to women?

Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club was wrapped by the UK Advertising Standards Agency after showcasing an image considered to be “sexual in tone”. The van advert paraded mobile ads showing a naked woman claiming to be “the best view in Croydon”.

Pedestrians claimed it was “offensive, sexist and degrading” to women. Two complaints said that the van, unsuitable for public display, drove around areas frequented by children.

Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club said that the advert was not “sexually suggestive” as it did not show breasts or genitalia.

The ASA says that while nudity was not shown, it wasclear from the sight of the men that one was looking at her breasts and another at her crotch.
