About 200 gathered at Syntagma Square

Nearly 200 members of the homosexual community of Athens have gathered at Syntagma Square in Athens to show their support and solidarity for the 49 victims of the Orlando ‘Pulse’ nightclub massacre. ‘The dead and injured are our brothers. Their experiences are ours. A day after the gay pride festival we are mourning the loss of young people’, a statement released by the homosexual groups says. The groups plan to march towards the US Embassy and observe a moment’s silence for the victims.
