Ministerial meeting on the next steps in investigation over Swiss accounts of Greeks

They also discussed the auditing procedure which will be followed by public prosecutors

A ministerial meeting was held on Friday to discuss how the government will proceed regarding the data of the bank accounts of Greek citizens in Switzerland received by Germany.

Alternate Finance Minister Tryfon Alexiadis received a few days ago from German authorities of North Rhine-Westphalia a list which included 10,588 bank accounts of Greeks for years 2006, 2008 with amount of the deposits reaching 3.9 billion Swiss francs and 2.9 billion Swiss francs respectively.

According to a press release issued by the Justice ministry, the ministers attending, including Alexiadis, Alternate Minister for Corruption Issues Dimitris Papangelopoulos, and the general secretary for the fighting corruption Giorgos Vasiliadis, also discussed the auditing procedure which will be followed by public prosecutors.
