MNI: Some countries react to the “secession” of Greece from IMF

According to the news agency Germany, the Netherlands and Finland do not want withdrawal of the Fund

Senior European officials of EuroInsight state to the agency MNI that the desire of the Greek government to be released of the International Monetary Fund at the end of this year, for domestic political reasons, finds strong opposition from EU partners.

According to the report the projects discussed includes the repayment of 11 billion euro of FSF to the IMF, in order to repay a portion of the loan and the creation of a new precautionary credit line from the IMF.

The support package of 240 billion euro to Greece is divided between an IMF program running until mid-2016 and an EU program that should be closed at the end of the year.

The question of how Athens will exit from these programs will be discussed by euro zone finance ministers next month.

However, according to the officials, the chances of Greece to move to a clean exit from the IMF program is negligible due to opposition from Germany, the Netherlands, Finland and other countries ..
