Monica Bellucci blazes trail with her new role in “Spectre”

She breaks taboos and shows the world that sexy doesn’t necessarily equate to young

It is the first time that the studios choose a mature woman to play the role of the desired femme in the legendary James Bond series of films. “Cougars” around the world finally get revenge.

Monica will be the oldest Bond Girl, even above Honor Blackman, the 39 year old actress who played Pussy Galore in 1964’s Goldfinger.

The Italian superstar, starring along with Daniel Craig in “Spectre”, plays the role of Lucia Sciarra. This is not the first time that Bellucci wanted to take part in a James Bond film. In 1997 she auditioned for Tomorrow Never Dies but lost to Terri Hatcher. However, twenty years later, she’s done it. She breaks all taboos for actresses over 40 who until recently were receiving “secondary”, “non-sexy” roles.

For the second time in the history of Bond films, the romantic interest of the protagonist is older than him. But for the first time, both he and his companion are over thirty.

Monica is the finest specimen of a mature woman unaltered by plastic surgery, who still has a very strong sexuality and personality. Finally, this is confirmed through a movie blockbuster that sex between a man and an older woman is no longer taboo.
