Murdoch’s superyacht “Vertigo” at the uninhabited island of Polyaigos

The media mogul is on a cruise in the Aegean sea

From Mykonos to Patmos and now to Polyaigos. “Vertigo”, Rupert Murdoch’s superyacht which has been sailing in the Aegean, was spotted near Polyaigos (a small uninhabited island east of Milos) and protothema.gr was there to photograph it.

83-year-old Murdoch must have fallen in love with Greece, as he just can’t seem to get enough of the Aegean sea.

The previous owner of “Vertigo” was, according to rumors, Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio, who reportedly sold it to Murdoch.

The 200-foot superyacht Vertigo, the seventh largest sailing yacht in the world, cost about $80 million. It boasts six staterooms, a swimming pool, a gym and a crew of 11.

The yacht is designed by Phillipe Briand, with interior design by Christian Liaigre.

She has modern hull lines and is the first yacht of this size to have an almost vertical bow, allowing for greater water displacement and a considerable increase in speed.

Liaigre also designed the interior of Rosehearty, Murdoch’s other sail yacht. which is available for rent at over $ 370,000 a week.

In early July, the newly divorced billionaire was spotted by paparazzi enjoying his holidays with his sons on Mykonos.

In the meantime, Murdoch has again found himself in the spotlight with his plans to buy Time Warner. The board rejected his $80 billion offer but, according to international media reports, the owner of 20thFirst Century Fox intends to return with a vengeance (increasing his offer up to 40%).
