A pigeon was… arrested in India for spying on behalf of rival Pakistan.

The bird was caught on Thursday bearing a sealed message, or so the official story goes. The message was written, in part, in Urdu, one of Pakistan’s official languages, while it also contained a Pakistani telephone number. The pigeon was discovered by a 14 year-old boy in a Kashmiri village four kilometres from the contested border. He quickly took it to a nearby police station where the pigeon was …scanned through an X-Ray machine.

Even though police discovered that nothing suspicious was found, the bird is being held on the charge of espionage.
