ND spokesperson says “government won’t allow a motivated, shouting minority to impose its views”

“The government cannot be threatened or blackmailed”, she said

In a comment following the government’s decision to order the political mobilization of PPC employees and the requisition of their services, senior coalition government partner New Democracy party’s spokesperson Anna Asimakopoulou said that “The respect and application of laws and court decisions is a prime principle of Democracy”.

She added that the government has to function as a trustee of this principle and protect public interest.

“The government will not allow a motivated, shouting minority to impose its point of view, neither to hurt the Greek economy or tourism, or to discomfort Greek citizens”, said Asimakopoulou, who underlined that “The government cannot be threatened or blackmailed. Neither the Greek people.”.
