Netanyahu congrats to Tsipras; invitation for Israel visit

Phone discussion reportedly touches on Syria, refugee crisis

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was the latest peer to offer Greek PM Alexis Tsipras congratulations this week, as international leaders gather in New York City for the annual UN General Assembly.
Netanyahu reportedly phoned in his congratulations, while at the same time extending an invitation to the leftist Greek premier to visit the Mideast country.
According to reports, the two leaders discussed the ongoing Syria conflict as well as the continuing waves of refugees and would-be asylum seekers heading for Europe.
