New Democracy MPs accuse government of creating a partisan army in public administration

Deputies submit question to parliament

48 New Democracy deputies have submitted a question in parliament accusing the Greek government of creating the conditions for establishing a partisan army of employees in public administration by abusing provisions in the law that allow for the temporary hiring of public servants. The MPs allege the government has paved the way for permitting these seasonal state employees, who are only allowed to be hired on a temporary contact, to renew or extend their contracts to permanent ones by appealing to courts.
