The first four coaches carrying 166 Syrian refugees are heading to Vassilika refugee center

Hellenic police begun the evacuation operation of the new makeshift camp set in a gas station close to Polykastro, northern Greece.

The first four coaches carrying 166 Syrian refugees have already departed and are heading to Vassilika refugee center, according to police.

Squads of riot police are deployed in the region to accompany the refugees and immigrants to the coaches that will transfer them to the centers. About 300 police officers are taking part, while police clarified that officers will not use force during the operation.
