Neymar: “I hope that Messi and Mascherano win the trophy”

The unlucky Brazilian ace showed his magnanimity in a touching interview

The most unlucky ace of the World Cup, Neymar, expressed his preference for Argentina to win the trophy. In an interview he gave, he was clear about who he was supporting in the final, despite the “eternal” clash between Argentina and Brazil. “Messi’s history in football is so important. He has won so many trophies and I will be supporting him in the final. He’s my friend, my teammate and I wish him the best, as well as Mascherano”.

Apart from the special links that Neymar has with the Argentinean aces due to Barcelona, his preference was surely affected after his team’s humiliation by Germany in the semi-final.

The Brazilian ace, however, touched everyone during his emotional interview, in which the main topic was his injury: “God helped me, if it was two centimeters lower, I would be in a wheelchair righth now”, he confessed tearfully and when asked about Zuniga he showed his magnanimity: “He called me the next day and apologized. I hold no hard feelings towards him, I wish him all the best”.
