20 years in prison for 2 hideous murders? 90s-era satanist ringleader released (photos)

Asimakis Katsoulas, the last of the three satanists that dominated Nineties headlines, was released

It was June 1995 when Greece was shocked with tales that a ring of self-styled satanists, all middle class teenagers, had murdered a 14-year-old girl and a 28-year-old woman in what they believed were “black magic” rituals. Ringleader Asimakis Katsoulas and accomplices Manos Dimitrokalis and Dimitra Maryeti sat in the dock as public opinion looked on in horror.

Following the release of Maryeti and Dimitrokalis, the last of the three murderers, ringleader Katsoulas was released a few days ago under “strict terms”. The 44-year-old will be closely monitored on parole, given that four years ago he was involved in a sexual harassment case after impersonating a police officer — ostensibly from behind bars.

Social workers and prosecutors — as the official narrative goes — “carefully assessed” his case for 10 months before deciding to release the 44-year-old man.

During his trial, the good-looking teen was described as highly intelligent, “a restless spirit” with a persuasive manner. At the time, he also enjoyed listening to heavy metal and reading material on mysticism and the occult.

Maryeti was released in 2001, and sources claim she has changed her life. She is now married with children and few people know that she is the 18-year-old who had been an accomplice in horrific crimes.

Dimitrokalis was released last year and disappeared. He is believed to have also been “reformed” in prison, making an effort to put his deadly and permanent mistakes behind him. The trio also formed a “love triangle” before they dabbled in what they believed was satanism and started killing people as part of a “sacrificial ritual”.
