NSRF funding to new businesses, deputy Development Minister says

The new NSRF bill being prepared is being discussed internally and some issues should be first resolved before it is presented.

Deputy Development Minister Odysseas Constantinopoulos spoke to private TV station Star and said that a call for new entrepreneurial projects to be funded through the EU’s National Strategic Reference Framework, regardless of applicants’ age, will be announced by the end of November.

In terms of the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), in which 14,000 people qualified or could qualify if they applied, over 60% of those approved for funding have not proceed their investment. The deputy minister believes that this is due to the political uncertainty.

He also said that the new NSRF bill being prepared is being discussed internally and some issues should be first resolved before it is presented.
