In his statement to Karfi newspapaper, Government Vice President, Foreign Minister and PASOK party leader Evangelos Venizelos said tooday that “Greece always lost when the Progressive Democratic Party failed to play its role”.

Venizelos called all members of the wider centre-left to rally. He also underlined that “the centre-left that we want cannot be defined in relation to New Democracy (ND) nor SYRIZA.”

The Governement Vice President added that the antidote to populism is not to follow the political and economic neoliberal mainstream nor to go the exact opposite way.

“A third solution exists. It is the responsible solution of the Progressive Democratic Party” Venizelos said.
