PASOK says Govt in ‘blatant violation of Constitution’

PASOK calls the government to publish the documents that were already signed or will be signed for the extension

Social PASOK party lashed out at the government on Monday for refusing to bring the extension of a loan agreement with eurozone partners-cum creditors to Parliament for debate and ratification.

According to PASOK, which most recently served as the junior partner in the previous coalition government, this constitutes a “blatant violation of the Constitution and an insult to the Parliament’s legislative jurisdiction.”

Moreover, PASOK called on the government to publicise the documents that were already signed or will be signed for the extension, and to explain to the Greek deputies on what legal basis or jurisdiction it signed or intends to sign these documents.
