PASOK spokesman criticizes SYRIZA leader's visit to Pope Francis

He accused SYRIZA of “demagogy, lying and cheap populism.”

PASOK spokesman Dimitris Karydis said “SYRIZA [Main opposition party Radical Left Coalition] realised that its leader, Alexis Tsipras’ visit to Pope Francis had no appeal to Greeks, so they are now resorting to the known recipe of talking about conspiracy theories,”.

In a statement, the spokesman argued that SYRIZA’s leader visit to the Pope was “simply a communications ploy to improve the main opposition leader’s personal profile,” and accused the party of “demagogy, lying and cheap populism.”
