Parents protested on the government’s decision to freeze transfers, leaving dozens of tertiary students out in the cold

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras visited the Ministry of Education early on Tuesday morning on the last day of the Panhellenic exams for Greece. Passing through the gates of the ministry shortly after 9.30 a.m. he met with parents and students who wanted a solution to the problems caused by the sudden transfers of tertiary students. The future of 140 students – mainly from schools of architecture – is “in the air” following the government’s decision to freeze their transfers to universities in Athens. “We are in despair as it is not possible for our children to be left out of their schools,” parents told Proto Thema.

Tsipras visited the venue where the matters of the Panhellenic Exams are dealt with and then took part in a meeting on matters concerning the education sector.
