Pontic graveyard picnic for St. Thomas (photos + video)

A graveyard tradition that Pontic Greeks keep alive on the week after Easter

The Sunday after Easter, known as St. Thomas Sunday, is a special day for Pontic Greeks, an ethnically Greek group that lived on the shores of the Black Sea before the genocide of this group by Turks and 1923 expulsion of the remaining members of the group from Turkey.

They may have been forced to leave their homeland, however they continue to keep traditions such as the St. Thomas Sunday picnic at the graveyard.
