Princess Diana’s Old Car Is for Sale for 70,000 dollars

Silverstone Auctions is not naming the person who owned the collection apart from confirming that he felt now it is the time to sell.

A convertible Audi that Princess Diana used to carpool with sons Prince William and Prince Harry is up for grabs , for around 70,000 dollars. It is among a prized set of classic cars, which also includes a Bentley once owned by Queen Elizabeth, that will be up for bid on November 12 and 13 as part of the auction “Jewels in the Crown.” Diana bought the Audi from a dealership in northwest London in 1994 (three years before she died) and apparently only drove about 4,000 miles in it. Insiders at Silverstone Auctions suggest that because she was spotted in it by photographers — sometimes with her sons — she switched to other cars at her disposal too. She was also pictured driving it to and from her gym at the Harbour Club in Chelsea. The car still carries the same L449 TRP registration plate as when it was bought and has an estimated sale price of 63,500-76,000 dollars.
