Prosecutor orders investigation to find out who posted Chaikalis’ video online

Prime minister Antonis Samaras refused to receive the controversial material, on the grounds that it was recorded illegally.

Isidoros Doyiakos, Head of the Appeals Prosecution, ordered on Saturday an investigation in relation with the audiovisual material recorded by Independent Greeks deputy Pavlos Chaikalis. More specifically, he ordered the electronic crimes squad to find out who leaked the video online.
The video was posted on the internet yesterday and it featured edited audiovisual material from a dialogue between ANEL MP Chaikalis and a man who was offering him money in exchange for his vote in the presidential elections.

It should be noted that earlier on Friday, prime minister Antonis Samaras refused to receive the controversial material, on the grounds that it was recorded illegally.
