Roupa is still missing-Authorities fear of a new hit

The analysts of anti-terrorist unit estimate that if they don’t find the wife of Nikos Maziotis until the end of next week, then it is possible that she might take over the reconstruction of Revolutionary Struggle organization

The next 24 hours are critical for Pola Roupa, the wife of arrested suspected terrorist Nikos Maziotis, since authorities are closing in on her and the publication of photos with her new look restrict her moves.

The analysts of anti-terrorist unit estimate that if they don’t find her until the end of next week or if she does not publish a proclamation, then it is possible that she might take over the reconstruction of Revolutionary Struggle along with the lieutenant of the organization, Giorgos Petrakakis, and attempt a new hit responding to the arrest of Maziotis.

It should be noted that the so-called revolutionary fund has approximately 1,500,000 euros which were gathered from bank robberies. According to information of the police headquarters, officers use offenders to find a channel of communication with the members of urban guerrilla. What they first want to achieve is to send a message to Roupa to surrender herself since, as they say, “you cannot combat while taking care of a child” and secondly to find her partners or those who helped her run away.

All evidence indicate that the organization had a plan b in case something went wrong and one of the leaders was arrested. It is no coincidence that the police did not find anything at the apartment of Roupa-Maziotis and that weapons, explosives and vehicles are well hidden and therefore safe until things have calmed down and get ready for their next move.
