Russian president Putin has invited Kim Jong-un to Moscow

Jong-un’s personal envoy held talks with Putin in Moscow last month

Russian president Vladimir Putin has invited North Korean leader Kim Jong-un to Moscow in 2015, a Kremlin spokesman confirmed on Friday.

The head of North Korean state was invited to attend the celebrations marking the end of World War Two which take place in May in the Russian capital. If Kim Jong-un accepts the invitation, this will be the controversial leader’s first official foreign trip since he took over power, 3 years ago.

According to foreign media, Jong-un’s personal envoy held talks with Putin in Moscow last month, paving the way for the strengthening of ties between the two countries.
