Scorpios among top 10 millionaires’ paradise islands in the world

According to the list of the most fabulous millionaire playgrounds published by The Telegraph

On the occasion of the recent purchase of a huge piece of land by millionaire Mark Zuckerberg, the Facebook Chief Executive, on Kauai, the fourth largest of the Hawaiian islands, for approximately $100 million, The Telegraph put together a list featuring the most fabulous millionaire playgrounds in the world.

On the tenth place of the list of top 10 millionaires’ paradise islands in the world we find Scorpios, the island bought by the shipping billionaire Aristotle Onassis in the 1960s which was also the scene of his wedding to Jacqueline Kennedy. Skorpios is located in the Ionian Sea off the western coast of Greece and just to the east of the island of Lefkada.

The Telegraph notes that “Skorpios is now owned by Onassis’ granddaughter, Athina. She attempted to sell it to the Russian heiress Ekaterina Rybolovleva for $300 million (£188 million) last year but the sale has been held up by the Greek government, as under the terms of Aristotle’s will it must be in the Onassis family or pass into public ownership.”
