“The idea of a devaluation of the Euro to strengthen competitiveness (for the products of Member States of the EU) proposed by France, must be supported,” added the former conservative prime minister of Italy.

“But if we do not succeed in changing the monetary policy of the ECB and of Europe, unfortunately reality will force us, France, Greece, Ireland, Portugal to leave the euro,” claimed Berlusconi. The Italian entrepreneur and politician believes that his party “Forza Italia” is currently at 21% in the polls of European election voting intentions, with a clear upward trend.

Berlusconi urged the Italian voters to “open their eyes and make every effort to convince the undecided and those who have been disillusioned by the political scene” to vote for his party, because “no one should be indifferent to the country’s future”.
