Syrian migrants film their dangerous journey to Europe (Watch the video)

200 out of 540 people did not manage to survive

Five friends –Moaaz, Majd, Rasha, Kinan and Khalid –fled war-torn Syria and started a dangerous trip to reach Europe. So far this year an estimated 3,000 migrants have died attempting the same journey and one of the friends decided to videotape their journey.

About 540 people stacked on a boat sailing for 16 hours. They all think that they will die, until they see a foreign ship and understood that they have to jump off the boat. For 4 hours they were struggling to survive in the cold waters. About 200 people did not manage to survive and only three of the five friends are now alive.

” ‘I feel for those who were with me. They got asylum in the sea’ said Majd.

They are now in Stockholm waiting for their asylum approval application to be approved.
