During his speech at the Greek Parliament, leader of Independent Greeks party Panos Kammenos said that government is considering the voluntary enlistment of women stressing that the country has a strong and progressive government.

However, shortly after he completed his speech SYRIZA’s spokesperson stated through her account on Twitter that Syriza disagrees with Panos Kammenos’s proposal.

“SYRIZA does not agree with the proposal for voluntary recruitment of women, expressed today by Mr. Kammenos” she posted on Twitter.
