Coalition of the Radical Left (SYRIZA) party considers the debate to take place regarding the multi-bill which the government plans to tender one of these days to the parliament as the “most important” of summer battles.

Ιt should be noted that this bill includes all the Troika prerequisites and it must be passed before August 8.

The importance given to the specific front by SYRIZA is obvious by the fact that Alexis Tsipras, the party’s leader, chose to join the second summer session of the parliament in order to be present at the battle and lift the burden of confrontation with government ministers.

The main opposition party hopes that there will be many interesting developments during this debate, including intense disagreements and backtracking within the government. PASOK has already requested a number of changes regarding critical issues, and it is certain that there will be critical remarks and accusations by government MPs.

SYRIZA has no illusions for immediate dramatic changes in the political scene. However, they believe that the parliamentary battle for the multi-bill will provide an opportunity to challenge the government’s strategy and to test the consistency of the coalition parties.
