Tourists have been seriously injured and killed by hot springs at Yellowstone, which can reach burning temperatures and are sometimes highly acidic
Yellowstone
Let's not forget that Yellowstone is the biggest supervolcano...
The so-called Hebgen Lake event - a mammoth, magnitude-7.2 earthquake struck there in 1959 and killed 28 people
The eruption is among the new thermal activity seen over the last several days on Geyser Hill
The geyser also erupted on March 15 & April 19
So, we are not talking about global warming?
NASA has said that supervolcano eruptions are a bigger threat to life than any asteroid
But don't freak out just yet
It's dangerously close to a critical pressure point...
