Tamta can taste Eurovision and she wants to represent Greece (vid)

The singer lucked out on representing Georgia, so now she’s eyeing Greece

In the past, singer Tamta has often come close to entering the Eurovision Song Contest but her dreams of participating have never quite come to fruition. This year, however speculation is rife and the 2016 Eurovision could be the one where the singer from Georgia will represent Greece. In fact, she is so desperate to take part that there were talks with her home country before the announcement that Nika & the Lolitaz would be the Georgian representatives.

National broadcaster ERT, responsible for the Greek selection is considering Tamta but there are rumors that ERT chief Dionysis Tsaknis, a songster himself, would like to send singer Melina Aslanidou or a pop rock alternative. Tamta may be too mainstream and popular for his eclectic tastes.

The selection will be made after January 5 so Tamta will have to wait a little bit longer before an official decision is made.
