Tbilisi suffers under natural disaster aftermath, death toll climbs

Dozen dead, dozens missing

At least 12 people were killed and 24 are missing after deadly floods which hit the Georgian capital of Tbilisi and caused massive damages to the city.

The Georgian PM declared the 15th of June as a day of mourning for the victims of the natural disaster which hit George over the weekend.

The natural phenomena completely destroyed Tbilisi’s zoo, killing 300 animals and releasing dozens more to the city streets. Otherworldly scenes with alligators splashing around in public parking lots and hippos running around cars and pedestrians could be witnessed.

According to Reuters, the Prague zoo and other Czech zoos will be sending a team of experts to Tbilisi on Monday to help with the care and capture of the animals.
