Teacher slits his wrists in front of students at Patras, Greece

According to information, the teacher was experiencing serious psychological distress lately

A teacher employed at the 8th General Lyceum of Patras, Greece’s the third largest city, has reportedly attempted to kill himself in front of his students by slitting his wrists.

According to reliable sources, the incident occurred inside the classroom and during the English language lesson, which the teacher stopped in order to scold two of the students for being too noisy.

Visibly annoyed, the teacher threatened to expel the students, and then the youngsters begun to laugh at him an taunt him.

According to the same sources, the teacher then asked another student to bring him a paper cutter, which she did.

Then, staring into the eyes of his students, the man slit a vein in his wrist yelling “Do you think that I’m afraid? and then he begun to smear his face with his own blood!

As one would expect, the terrified students begun screaming and rushed to the principal’s office asking for help. In the meantime, the teacher kept asking them to return to their seats in order to continue the lesson, as if nothing had happened.

In fact, when asked by the principal what is wrong with him, he replied that “all was well” and that there was no reason for concern.
