Technical Chamber warns of deleting Tsipras and SYRIZA MPs from its list

TEE asks the government to withdraw the bill and its members who are MPs not to vote for the bill

The Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE) warns the MPs who are members of the chamber and are going to vote for the social security bill that they will face penalties.

Among the members of TEE are Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and other MPs of SYRIZA, such as Alekos Flabouraris and Christos Spirtzis.

Based on the decision of the Steering Committee, TEE asks the government to withdraw the bill and its members who are MPs not to vote for the bill, otherwise they might be deleted from TEE’s list.

The committee will publicly post the names of the MPs who will vote the bill and calls its members to respect the Code of Conduct of TEE. Otherwise, this would be considered a disciplinary offense, leaving open the possibility of deleting TEE members.

Greece’s law and medical associations, as well as the Economic Chamber of Greece are also considering following TEE example and deleting their members who are MPs and are going to vote for the social security bill.
