Tertiary education placements for high school graduates announced today

A day of reckoning for Greek students who get to find out if they managed to enter the course of their choice

Senior high school students from around Greece received their Panhellenic exam results on Thursday morning. There was exceptional pressure on students this year as the start of exams were delayed by ten days.  99,950 students sat for the exam, down from 104,998 last year. A large amount of students managed to pass through to tertiary-level studies with 72,763 gaining a place into higher-level education, compared to 71,761 last year.

More specifically, 47,053 students were able to achieve a university placement, 1,913 got into naval, army and police academies, whereas 23,797 achieved a placement at government colleges.
